Recipe videos that rock for lazy chefs

Recipe videos are a dime a dozen on the internet right now and if you love to cook, but you don’t have much time, they can be perfect!

Recipe Videos

Igor Miske

I have a confession to make. I’m addicted to watching recipe videos on Instagram. I could do it for hours. In fact, my very first Instagram collection was simply titled ‘food’, because it’s only right. Before Instagram introduced categories, I would save the recipe videos on my phone’s notepad, because that’s what a true addict does. Hah!

You’ve probably spotted these recipe videos all over the internet. Buzzfeed is filled to the brim with recipe videos and now there are accounts from all over the world mimicking the style and I love it. I decided to share my love for these simple recipes by showing off a few of my favourites here.

The thing about these videos and why they work for lazy chefs (like me) is that even if the recipe is complicated, the fact that it can be compacted into a short, cute video means I’m willing to try it! Whether it works out as being simple or not, the video made it look super easy, so I’m going to try it. (I know I’m not alone in this.)

Without further ado, enjoy a few of my favourite videos and let me know if you plan to try any of them!

Recipe Videos – Sweet & Sour Pork

If we’re ordering Chinese food, I’m getting sweet and sour pork. Chicken is good too. Yum!

You are gonna love this #sweetandsourpork! #chinesefood (yeah, this can work with #chicken as well!)

Recipe Videos – Bacon Cheese Bombs

Bacon. Cheese. Dough. Just bury me now, I’m done. Also, probably the easiest recipe ever.

Recipe Videos – Honey Garlic Chicken

I’m really weird when it comes to cooking chicken. I hate it. But a delicious sweet sauce with crispy, oven-baked skin means I’m hooked. Plus, the addition of green beans (my other favourite vegetable) makes this a winner in my eyes.

Here’s our new favorite chicken recipe – Honey garlic chicken! These juicy chicken thighs cook up easy in one pan along with a side of green beans and tomatoes, all topped with a mouthwatering honey garlic glaze. Weeknight dinners don’t get any better. Ingredients 4 Bone-in Chicken Thighs Kosher Salt, to taste Ground Black Pepper, to taste 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter 2 Tablespoons Chopped Garlic 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme 1/3 Cup Honey 1 Pound Green Beans, trimmed ½ Pound Cherry Tomatoes 1 Lemon (Optional), zested and juiced (start with half of the zest and juice and add more to taste, if needed) Get the full recipe at tiphero.com/honey-garlic-chicken #dinnertime #chickendiner #familydinner #goodeats #homecooking #food #foodvideos #recipe
