Quick update: Uphill Writer is jetting off to Malta

Just a quick update on where Uphill Writer is off to this June!

Jetting off to Malta by Uphill Writer

Hello everyone! I’m so sorry I’ve been so quiet lately. I’ve been a busy bee and have many posts waiting in my drafts, but for now, I have some exciting news to share.

As most of you know, my brother and I started Inkfish DigitalΒ a few years back. It’s a copywriting business where we create content and tell stories for our clients as well as handle social media. Well, we’ve worked with some great companies, but thanks to our awesome clients based in Malta, I’m leaving South Africa for the very first time!

On the 8th of June (that’s NEXT WEEK!), I’ll be jetting off to Malta for a fun-work trip and I’m ridiculously excited. I’ve never been out of the country before and in a sudden “let’s do this” experience, it’s all come together.

(If you’re not sure where Malta is, read all about it at VisitMalta.com.)

I’ve got my passport, my visa, and my brother and sister-in-law as travelling companions. I’m a little nervous for the 20-hour trip, but we’ll be travelling with Emirates so I’m expecting a smooth and comfortable flight.

A quick stop in Dubai before landing in Malta will be our only delay which I’m guessing is a good thing, right? The less of those delays, the better!

I’ll be out of the country for a week so expect a flood of photos and posts on my social media! You can follow me on Twitter and Instagram for all of the updates. I completely intend to capture a million memories, so be prepared. When I have a few moments I’ll be sure to do a blog post too.

I’m going to miss my husband and my animals something fierce, but I think they’ll love me more when I get back. That’s how it works, right? πŸ˜‰

Do you have any travelling tips and tricks I should know about? Have you been to Malta? Tell me below!

Chat to you all soon and have a brilliant weekend. x

  1. Keep your carry-on luggage light, keep your passport close, keep hydrated whilst in-flight. ENJOY!!!

  2. Spent a week on Gozo years ago. Fascinating place with prehistoric temples.
As a vegetarian I was sad to see migratory birds hunted to eat. Tiny little bird survives a long hazardous journey for nothing.
